Authorities found a bottle with suspicious liquid among the belongings of a suspected arsonist in El Bolsón, which will be tested to confirm if it is an accelerant. In another operation, two more people were arrested for investigation of the fact, remaining at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office.

The governor of Río Negro, Alberto Weretilneck, reported that the first arrest occurred in the Warthon area after neighbors detained a suspicious man until he was handed over to Justice. During the incident, one of the horsemen challenged those present and attempted to assault those filming the situation.

Later, disturbances occurred outside the El Bolsón police station No. 12 among families, horsemen, friends of the detainees, and local activists, who demanded the release of those detained for the fires in the area. The confrontation led to a violent clash between police officers and the protesters present at the scene.

According to local testimonies, family members and neighbors claimed that the detainees were not related to the fires but were there to help combat the flames. In videos recorded during the altercation, it can be seen how the horsemen confronted the activists and others present, while some relatives attacked the police. Amid the tension, insults and threats were heard from both sides.
